Careless Interpretation : The Diary of A Music-Junkie

its been almost a month since i write anything. during the while, surprisingly, there had been a lot of feedback about my writing, which of course truly makes me excited. hanum for instance, almost convince me that i deserve a column in The Rolling Stones magazine (hehehe a little bit too far there i know =)). even though i cant still totally believe her when she said that she and her friends really dig what i wrote, but she definitely brought some confidence along with the compliments.

actually since a long time, there had been so much topic i wanna cover in the blog which came around my mind time after time. sometimes when im studying, sometimes when doing my homeworks, sometimes when listening to music (this is the most often), sometimes even when im talking with somebody else. for example, ive been wanted to cover stone roses for a long time now, especially for their remix album that brought electronic greats like oakenfold and friends to their disposal. then came the oasis show, which unquestionably deserves its own space there in my blog. there are other numerous music that i wanna cover and albums also.

to be honest for a couple of weeks past, im kinda thinking of talking more of things outside music reviewing. i dunno..sometimes i just had an idea about other things and i want to write it down. the reason i wrote this is i had this terrible tendency of being consistent to a thing even though i know perfectly that it doesnt has necessarily to be like that at all. in other words, i want to be consistent on just writing music review, which on the other hand, i know that its not terribly necessary to do that. i know that i can talk about whatever the f**k i want for god sake, this is anyway my blog..

but first lets get things properly just. i have to write about the oasis gig before my mind completely blocked them.
maybe, to give you all a picture of whats happened, i just like to quote this message i wrote to my far-sister dinda (hai dinda!! =)) a little while ago……..

Me: "dindaaa, hallo, baek baek, gw baek2 aja disini. hehehe i can see you really proud of him ya. Ifan, hmm didnt ring a bell tuh din. angkatan berapa ya dia? 96 kah (di smp)? but nevermind, gw sendiri juga udah pada lupa kali.
itu fotonya yang di friendster dinda kan? sama, ga tau juga.
ya din, waktu itu gw nonton oasis. hmm gimana ya, denger tentang kelakuan gallagher brother yang luar biasa sih gw udah biasa, tapi ngeliat langsung depan mata gw sendiri itu bener2 pengalaman yang ga terlupakan deh.
ok, sebelom gw cerita yang gilanya, gw cerita yang standarnya dulu deh, setlistnya tentu banyak berisi lagu2 album barunya mereka, the importance of being earnest, lyla, mucky fingers, dll. tapi what drives me to be there sbenarnya lagu2 di album2 satu duanya, dan they did that! wonderwall, champagne supernova (shhhiiietttt), don’t look back in anger, ampe whats the story morning glory ngalir langsung lewat pembuluh darah gw hahaha. bener2 adrenaline sprinting, high-making. panggungnya ga terlalu gede yang diberlin ini, gedungnya cuma kapasitas 3500 orang aja, beda banget dong ama oasis yang biasa ngeladenin 100.000an orang kl di knebworth ato wembley dulu. gw rasa yang ini lebih intimate aja. terbukti penontonnya juga banyak yang hardcore oasis gitu. emang manusia2 yang udah fanatik berat, model2 yang ngikutin mereka konser dimana2. waktu itu gw ketemu orang2 polandia, austria, ama kota2 lain di jerman yang khusus dateng buat nonton oasis di berlin. ngeliat mereka bawa2 bendera inggris, ato nyanyi2 lagu oasis, ato pake baju oasis, ato potong rambut kya liam bener2 ngasih perasaan tersendiri, feels at home!
terakhir tentunya yang gilanya… di tengah2 lagu songbird tau2 liam berhenti nyanyi. tampaknya dia mulai nyolot ama salah satu penonton di depan, entah apa yang dibuat ama penonton itu. tampang liam yang emang standarnya aja udah setengah stoned, sekarang udah nyolot abis, bahasa tubuhnya udah mo ngajakin berantem, penonton yang lagi ngeliatin pada bingung, ga beda ama noel dan the other band members, they kept on playing the song but..without vocals. everybody knews somethings not right, because it started to get silent. dan tiba2 liam ngangkat botol bir bawaannya dia. bukan buat diminum tapi diangkat dan diputar dari leher botolnya sampe pantat botolnya ngadep keatas, yup kya mo nyambit orang. i hold my breath…is he gonna do it? trus entah darimana tiba2 air mukanya berobah, mungkin sadar bahwa thats not the best thing to do (to throw a bottle to the fans), dia nurunin tangannya yang udah lumayan tinggi, trus ngayun tangannya dan ngelempar botolnya ke space antara panggung ama barrier. penonton tegang. liam masih marah, telapak tangannya ngayun2 ngajak tuh penonton yang misterius itu buat naek ke atas panggung, seolah2 bilang :sini lo kalo berani..but of course the guy never did. belom selesai disitu liam trus pindah ke sisi panggung yang lain, berdiri, trus diam disitu dengan gaya snobbish britishnya sementara musiknya masih maen, gw pribadi bener2 ngerasa seolah2 dia lagi menghukum penonton, i dont know, maybe for disturbing his mood.
abis itu ga lama the band finish the song. setelah lagu selesai liam sekonyong2 dateng ke mike dan bilang, "…..there’s a fuckin’ dickhead over here" sambil nunjuk2 penonton misterius itu. para fans tertegun sejenak, then all of the sudden…. pok pok pok, orang2 pada tepuk tangan, wuww liam liam liam hahahahaa, ini yang gw pngen liat, the gallagher in action. oasis emang a very dangerous band, i knew it first hand by now =). itu highlight terbaik dari konser oasis. kl denger musiknya doang ga cukup, youve got to know how volatile mereka din.
hmm, gw cerita kepanjangan ga sih? =) ok deh semoga ga bosen. cerita2 dong di jkt lg ada apa? kerjaan gimana? jadinya pacaran gimana? ok, see ya bubye."

watching the Gallaghers is just a belated dream come true. true! they were THE band i dream of seeing play, at least before it faded away quite sometime ago due to ageing process +). but the flame is still there though, and that night, was firmly re-torched back..
